Transcribo íntegro un mensaje y foto de un fotolog. Horrible la custión, tanto como la circuncisión femenina en los países africanos o el harakiri japonés, pero me asalta una duda: ¿qué tan válido es inmiscuirse en culturas diferentes con sus códigos distintos a los nuestros? Yo me meto igual y usté?

Increíble. Mientras algunos se pueden casar, otros mueren por el simple hecho de ser homosexuales. Saberlo -como muchos ya lo sabiamos- es una cosa, pero verlo, es simplemente insoportable.

Dos adolescentes gays, fueron ejecutados PÚBLICAMENTE en Irán el 19 de julio del 2005 por el "crimen" de homosexualidad.
Los jóvenes fueron colgados en el Centro de la Justicia ("Edalat") en la ciudad de Mashhad, en el noreste de Irán. Fueron sentenciados a muerte por la corte número 19.
Irán hizo cumplir la ley islámica "Sharia", la cual su pena es la muerte por el "CRIMEN" de tener sexo entre dos hombres. Uno de los asesinados tenía 18 años y el otro era aun menor, y sólo fueron identificados por sus iniciales M.A. y A.M.
Ellos admitieron haber tenido sexo (probablemente bajo tortura) pero declararon en su defensa que muchos jóvenes acostumbran a tener sexo entre ellos y que no estaban enterados que la homosexualidad era penada de muerte. Previamente a esta ejecución, fueron retenidos en una prisión por 14 meses y severamente castigados por 228 latigazos.
Su tiempo de detención indica que habrían cometido la llamada "ofensa” hace un largo tiempo atrás cuando ellos tendrían alrededor de los 16 años.

Two gay teenagers were publicly executed in Iran on 19 July 2005 for the 'crime' of homosexuality.
The youths were hanged in Edalat (Justice) Square in the city of Mashhad, in north east Iran. They were sentenced to death by Court No. 19.
Iran enforces Islamic Sharia law, which dictates the death penalty for gay sex.
One youth was aged 18 and the other was a minor under the age of 18. They were only identified by their initials, M.A. and A.M.
They admitted to having gay sex (probably under torture) but claimed in their defence that most young boys had sex with each other and that they were not aware that homosexuality was punishable by death.
Prior to their execution, the teenagers were held in prison for 14 months and severely beaten with 228 lashes.
Their length of detention suggests that they committed the so-called offences more than a year earlier, when they were possibly around the age of 16.
